The Society of London Theatre

As theatre in London raise as a main industry, the need for a central, control organisation became obvious. The Society Of West End Theatre Managers, now recognized as the Society Of London Theatre (SOLT), was made by Sir Charles Wyndham in 1908 to fulfil just such a role.
